ABOUT UNITECH & EASEPACK
UniTech Software Solutions is a Pune-headquartered ERP company, founded in 2017, with our development centre based in Nashik. We build EasePack ERP, a vertical ERP platform used by 100+ corrugated packaging manufacturers across India, and EaseBuild ERP for the construction industry. Our products run on a LAMP/Yii2/MySQL stack, integrate deeply with Tally, and are increasingly powered by AI and computer vision. We are building out EasePack's AI layer — including a Text-to-SQL query interface, a semantic data catalog, intelligent caching, and an embedded AI chat widget for our clients — and we're looking for a hands-on intern to help us design, prototype, and ship this.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As an AI Integration Intern, you'll work under your team lead, with regular consultation with the CTO, to bring AI capabilities into EasePack ERP — from early experimentation to production-ready features used by real manufacturing clients. This is not a research-only internship: you'll be writing code that ships.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
- Design and prototype a Text-to-SQL interface that lets non-technical ERP users query EasePack data in natural language.
- Build and refine a semantic catalog / data dictionary layer over EasePack's MySQL schema to improve AI query accuracy.
- Integrate LLM APIs (Claude/OpenAI) into EasePack's Yii2/PHP backend, including prompt design, caching (Redis), and cost optimisation.
- Develop and improve an embedded AI chat widget for EasePack's client-facing dashboards.
- Write clean, documented, production-quality code and contribute to code reviews and sprint planning.
- Test features against real client data patterns from our packaging and construction ERP deployments.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or a related field.
- Solid programming fundamentals in Python and/or PHP; comfort reading and writing SQL.
- Genuine curiosity about applied AI/LLMs — coursework, personal projects, or hackathons count.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and basic web application architecture.
- Strong problem-solving instincts and the discipline to work on real, sometimes messy, production data.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Nashik for the duration of the internship (this is an in-office role).
NICE TO HAVE
- Prior exposure to LLM APIs (Claude, OpenAI, etc.), LangChain, or vector databases.
- Experience with MySQL query optimisation or schema design.
- Familiarity with Yii2, Laravel, or another PHP MVC framework.
- Interest in manufacturing, ERP systems, or B2B SaaS products.
