Position Overview
Senior Accountant with expertise in Accounts and month-end closing is a mid-level finance professional responsible for managing the full lifecycle of company liabilities. This role ensures vendor obligations are accurately recorded, reconciled, and settled while maintaining a disciplined schedule for monthly financial finalization.
Core Responsibilities
- End-to-End AP Processing: Manage the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) cycle, including invoice receipt, verification, coding, and three-way matching (invoice, PO, GRN).
- Vendor Reconciliation: Audit vendor statements against AP ledgers, resolve discrepancies (missing invoices, duplicate payments, unapplied credits).
- Month-End Closing: Post accruals and prepayments, reconcile AP sub-ledger with the General Ledger (GL), and ensure accuracy of balances.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare AP Aging Reports, MIS reports on vendor spend, cash flow projections, and payment accuracy metrics.
- Vendor Management: Serve as primary contact for suppliers, negotiate payment terms, and maintain accurate vendor master data (tax info, banking details).
Required Technical Skills
- Accounting Principles: Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, especially expense recognition and accrual accounting.
- ERP Systems: Hands-on experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Advanced Excel: Skilled in Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and formulas for reconciliation and reporting automation.
- Compliance: Familiarity with GST/VAT, withholding tax, and reporting requirements (e.g., 1099).
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience: 5-10 years in general accounting or AP-focused roles.
- Certifications: CPA, ACCA, or CAPP preferred for senior-level positions.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
