A Facade Billing Engineer is a specialist responsible for managing all billing and quantity surveying activities related to a building's exterior (facade) construction projects. This role ensures accurate, timely, and contract-compliant invoicing for both clients and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
Bill Preparation: Prepare and submit interim and final bills (Running Account bills) for clients based on work completed, as per contract terms. Quantity Surveying & Estimation: Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ), measurement sheets, and cost estimates from technical drawings and site data. Subcontractor Management: Verify and process bills and claims submitted by subcontractors, ensuring alignment with actual work progress and contract rates. Verification and Certification: Conduct on-site verification of measurements and get client/consultant certification for completed work to ensure payment approval. Financial Tracking & Reporting: o Monitor project costs and ensure all billing is within the allocated budget. o Prepare billing and payment forecasts for the project duration. o Maintain detailed and organized records of all billing transactions, quantities executed, and payments received. o Prepare Management Information System (MIS) reports on billing and payment status. Coordination & Communication: Coordinate closely with project managers, site engineers, procurement teams, clients, and the accounts department to resolve discrepancies and follow up on payments. Contractual Compliance: Ensure all billing activities comply with the specific terms and conditions of the project contract and relevant statutory norms (e.g., related to GST, TDS). Material Reconciliation: Reconcile materials used on-site with billed quantities to maintain cost control. Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering is typically required.
Experience: Relevant experience (usually 2-7 years) in billing, quantity surveying, or contract management within the construction or facade industry.
Technical Skills: o Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and technical drawings. o Strong knowledge of relevant software, including MS Excel, MS Office, AutoCAD, and potentially ERP systems (SAP/Tally). Soft Skills: Strong analytical and numerical skills, excellent attention to detail, good organizational abilities, and effective communication and coordination skills.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills to coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
