Job Overview
We are looking for a Lab Technician to join a reputed multispeciality hospital in Ankleshwar. The candidate will be responsible for carrying out laboratory tests, handling samples, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the medical team with timely and reliable diagnostic results.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, receive, label, and process patient samples as per laboratory procedures.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and investigations.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment properly.
- Ensure accurate recording and reporting of test results.
- Follow proper sample handling, storage, and disposal procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards within the laboratory.
- Perform quality control checks and follow hospital laboratory protocols.
- Maintain proper documentation and laboratory records.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff when required.
- Report any equipment issues, discrepancies, or unusual test results to the concerned senior/doctor.
- Follow infection control and safety guidelines at all times.
Requirements
- DMLT / B.Sc. MLT / equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
- 1–3 years of experience as a Lab Technician preferred.
- Experience in a hospital, diagnostic centre, or multispeciality hospital will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of routine laboratory procedures and sample handling.
- Ability to operate basic laboratory equipment.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
