Job Summary
A Confectionery & Baker is responsible for preparing, baking, and decorating a variety of baked goods and sweets such as cakes, pastries, breads, and desserts. This role requires creativity, precision, and knowledge of baking techniques to produce high-quality products that meet customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a wide range of items including bread, cakes, pastries, cookies, and desserts
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
- Decorate cakes and pastries using icing, toppings, and other techniques
- Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation
- Monitor oven temperatures and baking times
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen according to food safety standards
- Manage inventory and ensure ingredients are fresh and properly stored
- Assist in developing new recipes and seasonal menu items
- Follow health and safety regulations
Skills & Qualifications
- Basic or professional training in baking or pastry arts
- Knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients
- Creativity and attention to detail
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Time management and ability to work under pressure
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Experience Requirements
- Entry-level: 0–2 years (with training or internship)
- Experienced: 2+ years in a bakery, hotel, or restaurant
Work Environment
- Fast-paced kitchen or bakery setting
- Requires standing for long periods
- Exposure to heat, ovens, and baking equipment

- Supervising junior staff
- Designing custom cakes
- Managing bakery operations or production schedule
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
