KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • New Partner Acquisition: Drive the expansion of Axis Max Life’s partner ecosystem by identifying and securing alliances in the banking and non-banking financial sectors. • Stakeholder Management- Engage and collaborate with CXOs and senior leadership, both internally and externally, to align business goals and drive partnership success. • Strategic Orientation- Develop and execute business strategies that enhance market presence, increase distribution reach, and generate long-term value. • Market Opportunity Identification- Analyse industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
- Industry Representation- Act as a thought leader, representing Axis Max Life at key industry forums, conferences, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and influence industry conversations. • Revenue Growth Ownership- Work cross functionally with sales, product, and digital teams to ensure partnerships translate into revenue growth and competitive advantage. KEY COMPETENCIES SKILLS: • Strong business acumen with a proven track record in business development and strategic alliances. • Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills at the CXO level.
- Deep understanding of financial services, bancassurance, and emerging distribution models. • Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and drive compliant growth strategies. • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement capabilities. MINIMUM/SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE: • MBA with ~7-8 years of relevant business development experience overall 12 years+ in life insurance/General insurance/Health insurance industry or into BFSI into similar roles • Strong understanding of the business and excellent market network in this space • Experience in designing selling complex solutions to target groups of entities • Good understanding of financial tools / complexities and acquisition process • Analytical skills process orientation • Strong presentation communication skills • Strong relationship, networking negotiation skills • Ability to think creatively • Project management execution skills • Desirable – knowledge of IRDA regulations MEASURE OF SUCCESS: This role is critical in driving Axis Max Life’s expansion strategy, reinforcing its leadership in the insurance sector, and ensuring sustained business growth through strategic partnerships.
