Job Summary
Prolife Cancer Centre is seeking an experienced Medical Scientific Writer to join our oncology research team. The ideal candidate will collaborate with clinicians and researchers to develop high-quality scientific publications, conference abstracts, and clinical research documentation. This role requires strong scientific writing skills, experience with oncology research, and the ability to convert clinical data into publication-ready manuscripts for peer-reviewed international journals.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and publish scientific papers, case reports, and review articles in oncology.
- Draft abstracts for national and international conferences (e.g., SSO, ASCO, ISMR).
- Convert clinical data into publication-ready scientific manuscripts.
- Prepare manuscripts in accordance with ICMJE guidelines and journal requirements.
- Support clinical research documentation, ethics committee (IRB/IEC) submissions, and regulatory documentation.
- Collaborate with clinicians and researchers throughout the publication process.
- Perform literature reviews and manage references using EndNote, Mendeley, or similar tools.
- Ensure manuscripts meet publication standards, including plagiarism checks and journal formatting.
Eligibility
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Clinical Research, Pharmacology, or a related field.
- Candidates with a medical background (MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, MD, or equivalent) are also encouraged to apply.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in medical or scientific writing.
Skills Required
- Proven experience writing scientific manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals.
- At least 2 published papers in PubMed-indexed journals (as an author or co-author).
- Strong understanding of ICMJE guidelines, scientific referencing, and publication ethics.
- Experience with plagiarism checking tools and reference management software (EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero, etc.).
- Excellent scientific writing, editing, and literature review skills.
- Strong analytical and communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Oncology or Cancer Research.
- Publications in reputed peer-reviewed international journals.
- Familiarity with conference abstract submissions and clinical research documentation.
