Job Summary
The Waiter is responsible for providing prompt, courteous, and efficient food and beverage service to guests while ensuring an excellent dining experience. The role requires strong customer service skills, menu knowledge, teamwork, and adherence to hygiene and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Present menus and explain dishes, daily specials, and promotions.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the restaurant's ordering system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining service standards.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking on guests during their meal and responding to requests promptly.
- Clear and reset tables efficiently for the next guests.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, service stations, and tables.
- Coordinate effectively with the kitchen and cashier for smooth order execution.
- Upsell menu items, beverages, and desserts to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Handle guest complaints politely and escalate issues to the Restaurant Manager when required.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and grooming standards.
- Assist in restaurant opening and closing duties.
- Support the team during busy hours and special events.
Qualifications
- Minimum Higher Secondary (12th Pass); Diploma in Hotel Management is an added advantage.
- 1–2 years of experience as a waiter in a restaurant or hotel.
- Freshers with good communication skills and a positive attitude may also apply.
Skills Required
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.

Working Conditions

- Ability to carry serving trays and work efficiently during peak hours.
