Teach Tamil the way children love to learn it
We are an IGCSE school in Ekkaduthangal, Chennai, looking for a passionate Tamil Teacher for our KG and Primary classes. If you can make a 5-year-old fall in love with language through songs, stories and play — we want to meet you, even if your resume isn't "perfect on paper."
What you'll do
- Teach Tamil (second language) to KG and Primary students in a fun, activity-based way — rhymes, storytelling, games, phonics-style letter learning
- Build strong foundations in reading, writing and speaking Tamil
- Plan simple, engaging lesson plans suited to young learners in an international curriculum environment
- Assess students gently and share progress with parents
- Participate in school events, Tamil language celebrations and cultural programmes
- Collaborate with class teachers to integrate Tamil into everyday learning
What we're looking for
Must-haves:
- Excellent spoken and written Tamil, with clear pronunciation
- Genuine love for working with young children (ages 4–11)
- Patience, warmth and strong classroom presence
- Basic working English (our school communication is in English)
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
