Job Purpose:
To lead and manage the overall Loss Prevention function, ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, company assets, property, and operations. The role will focus on preventing theft, fraud, pilferage, unauthorized activities, and operational losses while maintaining a safe and secure environment throughout the resort.
Key Responsibilities
Loss Prevention & Security Management
Develop and implement effective Loss Prevention policies, procedures, and SOPs.
Ensure protection of company assets, guest belongings, employee property, and resort infrastructure.
Identify potential security and operational risks and take preventive measures.
Incident Investigation
Lead investigations related to theft, pilferage, fraud, misconduct, accidents, property damage, and other incidents.
Prepare detailed incident reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain proper records of all security and loss prevention incidents.
CCTV & Surveillance
Monitor CCTV operations and ensure effective coverage of critical areas.
Conduct regular checks of CCTV systems, access control systems, fire & safety equipment, and security infrastructure.
Review CCTV footage during investigations and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Hotel & Resort Security
Ensure effective control of entry and exit points, staff gates, guest areas, stores, kitchens, back-of-house areas, and restricted zones.
Supervise frisking, access control, vehicle checks, key control, and visitor management.
Conduct regular patrols and surprise inspections across the property.
Team Management
Lead, train, and supervise the Loss Prevention/Security team.
Prepare duty rosters and ensure adequate manpower coverage across all shifts.
Conduct regular briefings and training on security procedures, emergency response, grooming, discipline, and guest handling.
Emergency & Crisis Management
Coordinate emergency response during fire, medical emergencies, accidents, security threats, natural calamities, and other critical situations.
Ensure the team is trained in emergency procedures and evacuation protocols.
Coordinate with Police, Fire Brigade, Ambulance, and other external authorities whenever required.
Internal Coordination
Work closely with HR, Engineering, Housekeeping, F&B, Finance, Stores, Front Office, and other departments to identify and control operational losses.
Support departmental investigations and ensure proper documentation.
Conduct regular meetings with HODs regarding security and loss prevention concerns.
Compliance & Audits
Ensure compliance with company policies, hotel standards, statutory requirements, and security guidelines.
Strong integrity, alertness, confidentiality, and professional conduct are essential.
Graduate in any discipline; certification in Security/Loss Prevention
8–12 years of relevant experience in Loss Prevention/Security
