About Freshot
Freshot builds fully automated FoodBots — next-generation vending machines that cook, pack, and dispense fresh meals on demand, with zero human intervention and 24/7 operation. Our upcoming Multi Food Bot can prepare 100+ dishes, from pasta to hazelnut chocolate, and comes with an end-to-end technology stack we build in-house: mechanical systems, embedded firmware, cloud monitoring dashboards, and fleet management software. We're bringing automated food and vending machinery to restaurant chains, corporate campuses, retail locations, and food entrepreneurs across India.
About the Role
We're hiring a Business Development Manager to drive machine sales, consumer product sales, vending machine sales, and machinery sales for Freshot within the Indian market. This role is focused on selling and placing FoodBots and related vending/machinery equipment across India — building buyer relationships, dealer and distributor networks, and closing deals that get machines onto the ground. You'll work closely with founders, operations, and engineering to turn sales conversations into live, revenue-generating installations across the country.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive machine sales, consumer product sales, vending machine sales, and machinery sales for Freshot's FoodBots across the Indian market.
- Identify and develop opportunities across restaurant chains, corporate campuses, retail chains, malls, hospitals, and other institutional and consumer channels within India.
- Build and manage a network of dealers, distributors, and channel partners for machine and vending equipment sales pan-India.
- Leverage FMCG distribution networks and retail channels to place FoodBots and vending machines in high-footfall consumer locations across India.
- Own the full sales cycle: lead generation, product demonstration, commercial negotiation, and deal closure for machine and vending placements.
- Negotiate purchase, lease, and revenue-share agreements for FoodBot and vending machine deployments.
- Coordinate with operations and engineering teams on installation, delivery timelines, and after-sales support.
- Track sales performance, market pricing, and competitor vending/machinery offerings within India to refine strategy.
- Represent Freshot at trade shows, consumer expos, and vending/machinery industry events across India.
- Meet monthly and quarterly machine sales and revenue targets.
What We're Looking For
- 3–6 years of experience in machine sales, consumer durable sales, vending machine sales, or machinery/equipment sales, within the Indian market.
- Experience in FMCG sales, with an existing FMCG distribution and retail network across India, is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated track record of building dealer/distributor networks and closing hardware or equipment sales.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with retail, institutional, and corporate buyers.
- Comfort with domestic travel across India for demos, client visits, and installations.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
- Self-starter comfortable working in a fast-moving, startup-like environment.
