Job Overview
IMP Engineering & Power Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a proactive and experienced Safety Officer to ensure the implementation of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards across project sites. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in industrial construction, heavy equipment erection, crane operations, or EPC projects, with strong knowledge of statutory safety regulations and client-specific HSE requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies and procedures at project sites.
- Ensure compliance with client safety standards, statutory regulations, and company HSE policies.
- Prepare, maintain, and update all safety documentation, records, permits, and reports as required by the client.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
- Issue and monitor Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems for critical activities such as lifting, hot work, work at height, and confined space entry.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with client HSE representatives, project managers, and site supervisors to ensure a safe working environment.
- Monitor the use and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety equipment.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports and ensure timely submission of all client-required documentation.
- Ensure emergency preparedness, conduct mock drills, and maintain first-aid and firefighting arrangements at site.
Qualification
Candidates should possess a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering along with a Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS/PDIS) or an equivalent safety qualification. Additional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, First Aid, or Fire Safety will be an added advantage.
