What You'll Do
Your responsibilities grow over the year as your skills do. You will always work under the guidance of an AI Architect, an engineering mentor, and the wider delivery team.
Learn & Build the Foundations
- Complete a structured onboarding and learning path covering Python engineering, LLM APIs, prompt design, and the fundamentals of agentic AI.
- Work through guided exercises and internal accelerators before moving on to supervised contribution on client work.
- Build the habit of clean, tested, documented code from day one — with regular feedback from your mentor.
Contribute to Real Client Delivery (with support)
- Take on scoped, well-defined pieces of a client build — a tool integration, a RAG component, a test harness — under the guidance of a senior engineer.
- Pair with experienced engineers to understand how solutions move from design to production, and gradually take on more ownership as you grow.
- Help with integration testing, documentation, and deployment readiness on live engagements.
Shadow & Support Client Engagement
Attend client sessions as an observer and supporting engineer — learning how technical solutions are presented and how requirements are turned into buildable work.
- Prepare demo materials and proof-of-concept components that senior engineers use in client conversations.
Grow the Practice's Knowledge
- Contribute to the practice's reusable asset library — starting with documentation and small components, building towards full accelerators.
- Share what you learn in internal brown-bags and write up patterns clearly enough for the next apprentice to build on.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- A 2025 or 2026 graduate (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field — with less than 6 months of experience for 2025 graduates at the time of joining.
- Working knowledge of Python and general programming fundamentals — you can write and read code and are comfortable learning new languages and tools.
- A basic understanding of AI and LLMs, and genuine curiosity about how AI systems are built.
- Clear communication and a collaborative attitude — you ask questions, take feedback well, and are comfortable saying when you're stuck.
- A strong learning mindset: coachable, self-driven, and eager to grow into an enterprise-grade engineer.
Nice to Have
- Any hands-on exposure to LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or building small AI projects (personal, academic, or hackathon).
- Familiarity with Git, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, or basic cloud concepts.
- A portfolio, GitHub profile, open-source contributions, or demonstrable side projects — anything that shows you build things.
- Awareness of agentic AI, RAG, or vector databases at a conceptual level.
Mindset (this matters most)
You are curious about the AI space and follow it because you want to, not because you have to.
- You take ownership of small things well, so we can trust you with bigger things.
- You are comfortable with not knowing — and you treat every gap as something to close, not hide.
