Sr. Accountant
Location: Pune (HQ), with periodic branch visits as required
Experience: 4–6 years in core accounting (multi-branch / service business exposure preferred)
Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / Inter-CA / CMA
About the Company
Jivanurja is a fast-growing naturopathy and wellness brand operating clinics across Maharashtra — currently in Pune, Pimpri, Nashik, Sambhajinagar and Thane. The business has grown on the strength of strong brand-building, marketing and a high-value service model.
The Role
We are looking for a hands-on Accountant to own the day-to-day accounting function across all current and upcoming branches. The person will set up clean books, ensure statutory and tax compliance, and bring branch-level financial visibility as the company scales. The role suits someone with 4–6 years of strong core accounting experience who is ready to step up into broader responsibility - multi-branch reporting, GST and statutory ownership, and basic branch-level P&L tracking.
Core Responsibilities
1. Books of Accounts
Maintain accurate day-to-day books for the company and all branches. Manage journal entries, ledgers, bank reconciliations, vendor and customer ledgers, and month-end closing. Ensure books are clean, current, and audit ready.
2. GST, TDS and Statutory Compliance
Own end-to-end GST compliance — input credit reconciliation, monthly returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), annual returns. Manage TDS deduction, deposit and quarterly returns. Ensure professional tax, PF/ESIC remittances, and other statutory filings are accurate and on time.
3. Branch-Level Financial Tracking
Track revenue, expenses and key cost lines (rent, equipment, overheads, salaries) at a per-branch level. Produce simple monthly branch-level statements so leadership can see which branches are performing and where costs are drifting. As the company scales, build the foundation for full branch P&L reporting.
4. Payables, Receivables & Bank Operations
Process vendor invoices, run timely payments, and maintain vendor accounts. Track customer receivables (where applicable), manage bank operations, fund transfers between branches, and daily cash-flow visibility for the founder.
5. Payroll Inputs Coordination
Coordinate with HR for monthly payroll inputs — attendance, leaves, reimbursements, statutory deductions. Process payroll disbursements and ensure all related statutory remittances are filed correctly.
6. Monthly Management Reporting
Produce a clean monthly financial pack for the founder — P&L, balance-sheet view, cash position, branch-wise summary, and key ratios.
7. System Operations
Experience of operating on accounting software (Tally / Zoho Books / similar) with discipline. Maintain documentation, vouchers, and supporting evidence so the function is not dependent on individual memory.
