Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible IPQC Executive to monitor and ensure quality compliance throughout the manufacturing and filling process. The candidate will be responsible for in-process quality checks, line clearance, sampling, documentation, weight verification, defect monitoring, and coordination with Production and QC teams to ensure products meet established quality standards.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Line Clearance & Start-Up Verification
- Perform line clearance before commencement of production/filling activities.
- Verify cleanliness of machines, hoppers, pipelines, filling equipment, and surrounding areas.
- Check product details such as MFD, MRP, Batch No., EXP Date, Price/Unit, and labels before filling.
- Provide line clearance approval as per SOP.
- In-Process Quality Monitoring
- Conduct hourly in-process checks of bulk and finished products as per approved specifications and sampling plans.
- Monitor filling weight, declared weight, appearance, packing, sealing, coding, and other applicable quality parameters.
- Identify and report major, minor, and critical defects as per applicable sampling/AQL requirements.
- Raw Material & Packaging Material Coordination
- Ensure only approved/passed RM and PM are issued for production/filling.
- Coordinate with QC/Stores regarding material status and quality-related issues.
- Verify relevant batch and material identification before use.
- Quality Documentation & Records
- Maintain IPQC records, logbooks, inspection reports, check sheets, and other quality documents.
- Ensure timely completion and updating of BMR/BPR and QA/QC-related documentation.
- Maintain proper traceability of samples and inspection records.
- Weight & Measurement Control
- Perform online declared-weight and filling-weight checks as per company standards.
- Verify weighing balances and ensure calibration status is valid.
- Maintain records of balance verification/calibration as per SOP.
- Provide FG box minimum and maximum weight standards where applicable.
- Quality Issue Handling & RCA/CAPA
- Identify and resolve routine quality issues on the production/filling floor in coordination with Production and QC.
- Conduct RCA and CAPA for product rejection, recurring defects, and deviations beyond acceptable limits.
- Escalate serious quality deviations to the concerned Quality Manager immediately.
- Finished Goods Inspection & Audit
- Conduct FG inspection/audits for different products, variants, and SKUs.
- Collect control samples and micro-testing samples as per requirements and hand them over to the laboratory with proper records.
- Support analysis and review of control samples as per approved norms.
- Cross-Functional Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with Production, QC, QA, R&D, Stores, and other departments for timely resolution of quality issues.
- Report daily IPQC observations, deviations, rejections, and pending quality issues to the reporting manager.
- Participate in internal audits, investigations, and continuous improvement activities.
Requirements
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in IPQC/QC, preferably in Cosmetics, Personal Care, FMCG, Pharmaceutical, or similar manufacturing industry.
- Good knowledge of GMP, SOP, AQL, sampling procedures, line clearance, and in-process quality checks.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work on the production/filling shop floor and in shifts, if required.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
