Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced DTP Operator for book publishing and manuscript formatting work. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in book layout design, typesetting, page formatting, and preparing publication-ready files. Candidates with prior experience in the publishing industry will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Book manuscript formatting and typesetting.
- Creating professional interior layouts for books.
- Formatting chapters, headings, page numbers, headers, footers, and table of contents.
- Preparing print-ready PDF files according to publishing standards.
- Managing margins, page sizes, bleed settings, fonts, spacing, and alignment.
- Formatting Hindi and English books and documents.
- Implementing corrections and revisions provided by authors and editors.
- Converting manuscripts into publication-ready books for print and digital platforms.
- Performing quality checks before final printing and publishing.
Required Skills
- Expert knowledge of Adobe InDesign.
- Good command of Microsoft Word and document formatting.
- Strong understanding of book publishing and print specifications.
- Experience in creating print-ready PDF files.
- Proficiency in Hindi and English typing.
- Excellent attention to detail and formatting accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Expert in using ChatGPT and AI tools for document formatting, proofreading assistance, workflow automation, and productivity enhancement.
Preferred Experience
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a DTP Operator in a publishing house, printing press, or similar industry.
- Experience in formatting novels, educational books, academic books, journals, poetry books, and other publications.
- Knowledge of ISBN page formatting, copyright pages, and publishing standards will be an added advantage.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a dedicated professional focused on book formatting, typesetting, and publication-ready file preparation. This role is not for graphic designing; the primary responsibility will be handling book interiors and publishing-related DTP work.
Salary: ₹12,000 – ₹17,000 per month
Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
