1. Microsoft Purview Implementation & Operations
- 8-10 years of progressive experience in enterprise data governance, data privacy, or metadata management
- Hands-on Microsoft Purview implementation experience — minimum two completed deployments including business glossary, classification, lineage, and policy enforcement
- Demonstrated experience with at least two of: FERPA, GLBA, NIST 800-171, HIPAA, SOX, GDPR — higher education, financial services, or healthcare regulatory environment
- Configure and operationalize Purview as the metadata control plane for Fabric (Lakehouses, Warehouses, OneLake, Power BI semantic models)
- Implement automated scanning and metadata ingestion from Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers
- Establish end-to-end data lineage from source systems (Workday, Canvas, Starfish, PeopleSoft, IPEDS) through Fabric pipelines to Power BI reports
- Design and deploy the four-tier sensitivity label schema (Public, Internal, Confidential, Highly Confidential) across all OneLake artifacts
- Co-design RLS rules (Faculty / Department / College / Executive scoping) and OLS rules for sensitive columns; produce the formal RLS Validation Matrix as a security acceptance artifact
- Implement Conditional Access controls
- Configure Microsoft Sentinel/Defender integration — wire Fabric, Entra ID, Power BI, and Defender for Cloud Apps existing Sentinel SIEM
