We belong to the COWI's Infrastructure sector, specializing in the Tunnels and Underground Infrastructure. COWI's Heavy Civil team in India is rapidly growing and to support the growth we are looking for a BIM Specialist.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Developing, managing, and maintaining BIM models and project deliverables using Revit Structures, Tekla Structures, or Civil 3D, in line with COWI standards and project-specific requirements.
- Planning, prioritising, and coordinating tasks effectively for self and junior team members, while providing regular progress updates to project stakeholders.
- Supporting the BIM Manager in the development and implementation of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), MIDPs, and project BIM workflows in accordance with ISO 19650, CIC BIM Protocol, and other applicable BIM standards.
- Ensuring all BIM deliverables are produced in accordance with agreed project programmes, quality requirements, and budget constraints.
- Developing and maintaining parametric content, templates, libraries, custom components, and digital workflows to improve project efficiency and consistency.
- Coordinating multidisciplinary models through model federation, clash detection, and issue resolution using Navisworks or similar collaboration platforms.
- Performing QA/QC reviews of BIM models, drawings, and digital deliverables in accordance with project standards and COWI quality management systems.
- Working within Common Data Environments (CDEs) such as Autodesk Forma Data Management (a.k.a. ACC/BIM 360), ProjectWise, Aconex, or equivalent platforms.
- Supporting digital innovation initiatives through automation, scripting, and workflow optimisation using tools such as Dynamo, Python, Grasshopper, Tekla Open API, or similar technologies.
- Collaborating with engineers, designers, BIM specialists, and project teams across local and global offices to support successful project delivery.
- Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of BIM standards, best practices, workflows, and knowledge sharing within the organisation.
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior BIM professionals and supporting capability development within the team.

You have a Diploma/Bachelors degree in Civil engineering and have relevant experience preferably in underground structures, metros and tunnels.
On top of that, you will have:
- A BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering with 8-12 years of relevant BIM experience.
- Advanced proficiency and project delivery experience in one primary BIM platform: Revit Structures, Tekla Structures, or Civil 3D.
- Strong expertise in at least one of the following platforms: Revit, Civil 3D, or Tekla Structures, along with practical working experience and multidisciplinary coordination capability in at least one of the other two platforms.
- Experience as a BIM Specialist in projects involving multiple disciplines such as Structures, Civil Infrastructure, Architecture, MEP, and Geotechnical Engineering.
- Experience in developing, managing, and delivering BIM models, drawings, schedules, reports, and digital project deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
- Familiarity with BIM coordination, model federation, and clash management using Navisworks or similar platforms.
- Understanding of BIM standards, information management processes, and interoperability techniques between BIM software applications; experience with ISO 19650 and COBie will be an advantage.
- Eperience in visual programming, automation, and digital delivery solutions such as Dynamo, Python, Grasshopper, Rhino.Inside.Revit, Tekla Open API, or similar technologies will be considered beneficial.
- Strong planning, communication, stakeholder management, and collaborative working skills within global project teams.
- Experience across buildings, heavy civil, transportation, tunnels, bridges, utilities, rail, highways, industrial facilities, or related infrastructure sectors will be advantageous.
