JOB DETAILS Job Title: Primary Teacher (PRT) Department: Academic Subject / Domain: All Subjects (Grades 1 to 5) Board: CBSE Qualification (Must-Have): Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. (as per CBSE norms) Qualification (Preferred): Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Education or specific subject specialization (English, Mathematics, Science, or Social Studies) Additional certifications in Child Psychology, Primary Education Pedagogy, or Innovative Teaching Practices Experience (Must-Have): Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in a reputed CBSE/ICSE/IB school, handling primary grades (1–5) Experience (Preferred): Experience in integrating experiential learning, art-integrated pedagogy, and NEP 2020-aligned teaching methodologies Experience with digital/online learning tools and ERP systems Reporting Supervisor: Director Principal / Assistant Principal / Headmistress / Segment Coordinator II. JOB PURPOSE To facilitate holistic learning by developing foundational literacy, numeracy, and life skills among primary students. To create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and independent thinking. To nurture values, discipline, and social-emotional wellbeing of students. To collaborate effectively with parents, coordinators, and fellow educators for achieving the school’s academic and developmental goals. III. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES As Educator Plan, prepare, and deliver well-structured lessons aligned with CBSE curriculum and school guidelines. Design and implement engaging learning activities that cater to multiple intelligences and varied learning styles. Use differentiated instruction and remedial support to meet the diverse learning needs of students. Develop lesson plans, teaching aids, and creative learning resources in coordination with the HOD / Coordinator. Ensure syllabus completion as per academic planner and update weekly/monthly status to HM/Segment Coordinator. Integrate art, ICT, and experiential learning into everyday teaching. As Class Teacher Maintain and update student attendance records, logbooks, and class reports on ERP by brunch time daily. Record topics taught, homework/assignments given, and attendance in class on ERP daily. Cross-check and download daily logbook by 2:30 pm and upload it on the school server before 3:00 pm. Communicate with parents through ERP or circulars as per guidelines. Monitor student attendance, behaviour, and academic progress, and report prolonged absenteeism (>2 days) to Segment Coordinator/HM. Maintain an orderly, safe, and inclusive classroom environment. As Subject Teacher Assess student work regularly—class tests, projects, oral assessments, and notebook corrections.
