Job Summary
SAMMS TECH SPM & AUTOMATION is looking for a Structure Welder / Fitter to join our fabrication and manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for fabrication, fitting, welding, and assembly of machine structures, frames, base plates, and support components used in SPM and Industrial Automation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble machine structures, frames, and base assemblies as per drawings.
- Perform MIG, TIG, Arc, and CO₂ welding operations.
- Read and interpret fabrication and engineering drawings.
- Mark, cut, grind, drill, and fit structural components.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and alignment of fabricated structures.
- Conduct welding and fitting activities according to quality standards.
- Inspect finished structures for defects and rectify issues when required.
- Support machine assembly and installation activities.
- Maintain welding equipment, hand tools, and workplace safety.
- Follow company quality and safety procedures.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of structural fabrication and welding techniques.
- Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings.
- Experience in MIG, TIG, Arc, and CO₂ welding.
- Knowledge of cutting, grinding, drilling, and fitting operations.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Measuring Tape, and Steel Scale.
- Good problem-solving and teamwork skills.
Qualification
- ITI Welder / ITI Fitter
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred)
