Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, qualify, and maintain WPS, PQR & WPQ as per ASME codes.
- Ensure compliance with ASME Section VIII & IX and applicable welding standards.
- Monitor welding parameters, weld quality, and traceability.
- Analyze welding defects, weld repair trends, and implement corrective actions.
- Provide technical support to fabrication and production teams.
- Optimize welding sequences, joint design, consumables, and welding techniques.
- Conduct welder training, skill assessments, and qualification tests.
- Coordinate with QA/QC, Design, Production, Projects, customers, and third-party inspectors.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII & IX
- WPS / PQR / WPQ preparation and qualification
- GTAW, SMAW, GMAW, SAW welding processes
- Knowledge of NDT – RT, UT, PT & MT
- Weld defect analysis and corrective action
- Fabrication drawings and welding symbols
- Experience in Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Skids, Process Equipment, E-Houses, Structural & Heavy Fabrication
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Experience: Relevant experience in Welding Engineering within an engineering/manufacturing environment
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
