Job Summary:
The Athletics Coach is responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting athletics training programs for students. The role focuses on developing students' physical fitness, athletic skills, sportsmanship, discipline, and overall performance while ensuring a safe and positive training environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct athletics training sessions for students across various age groups.
- Train students in track and field events, including running, jumping, and throwing disciplines.
- Identify and nurture talented athletes for inter-school, district, state, and national-level competitions.
- Develop fitness, endurance, strength, speed, and coordination among students.
- Prepare training schedules and monitor student progress and performance.
- Organize and supervise athletics events, sports meets, and competitions.
- Ensure student safety during training sessions and competitions.
- Maintain sports equipment and ensure proper usage and storage.
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and healthy lifestyle habits among students.
- Coordinate with school management, teachers, and parents regarding student participation and performance.
- Maintain records of attendance, achievements, and competition results.
- Stay updated with the latest coaching techniques, sports regulations, and athletic training methods.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) / Master's Degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) preferred.
- Certification in Athletics Coaching is an added advantage.
- Prior experience as an Athletics Coach in a school or sports academy.
- Strong knowledge of track and field events and training methodologies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and motivational skills.
- Ability to work with students of different age groups and skill levels.
- Knowledge of safety standards and first-aid procedures.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
