The Senior Academic Counselor is responsible for guiding students in selecting suitable academic programs, providing accurate information about universities and career opportunities, managing the admission process, and ensuring excellent student support from inquiry to enrollment. The role also includes mentoring junior counselors, achieving admission targets, and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel students and parents regarding higher education opportunities.
- Assess students' academic background, career goals, and budget to recommend suitable courses and institutions.
- Handle walk-in, phone, email, and online inquiries professionally.
- Convert inquiries into admissions and achieve monthly enrollment targets.
- Guide students through the complete admission and documentation process.
- Coordinate with universities and internal teams for smooth application processing.
- Follow up with prospective students until successful enrollment.
- Maintain accurate CRM records.
- Support and mentor junior academic counselors.
- Resolve student concerns and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Participate in educational events, seminars, and promotional activities.
- Stay updated on admission requirements, scholarships, and overseas education trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred).
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in academic counseling, admissions, student recruitment, or overseas education consulting.
