As a Drug Safety Physician at ICON, you will oversee the medical aspects of pharmacovigilance activities, ensuring the safety of investigational drugs and contribute to the advancement of innovative treatments and therapies.
What You Will Do:
You will contribute to pharmacovigilance and drug safety activities, taking responsibility for your deliverables and working collaboratively.
Key responsibilities include:

Provide medical review and assessment of adverse event reports from clinical trials and post-marketing sources.

Evaluate the clinical significance and causality of reported adverse events and provide medical guidance on safety-related issues.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop risk management strategies and risk minimization measures.

Contribute to the preparation of safety-related documents, including periodic safety reports and risk management plans.

Stay abreast of emerging safety concerns and medical literature to inform decision-making and enhance safety surveillance activities.

Ability to interact directly with the client and provide document-specific advice.
Your Profile:
You will bring relevant pharmacovigilance and drug safety experience, along with the following qualifications and skills.
Required qualifications and experience:

Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with active medical license.

MBBS or MD with minimum 2 years of relevant experience in drug safety
-
Board certification or equivalent experience in a relevant medical specialty (e.g., internal medicine, pharmacology).

Relevant scientific and medical knowledge and understanding of relevant drug/device safety regulations and guidelines.

Strong clinical judgment and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex medical data and make informed decisions.

Excellent skills in understanding and compiling complex data, analytical and medical judgement and providing context.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Excellent written and oral English language skills
-
Willingness to travel as required (approximately 15%)
