Job description:
We are looking for a skilled Metalizer with 2–5 years of experience in thermal spray coating processes. The candidate will be responsible for applying protective metal coatings such as zinc and aluminum using arc spray or flame spray techniques to enhance corrosion resistance and durability of components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thermal spray coating (metalizing) using arc spray and/or flame spray equipment
- Prepare and verify surfaces prior to coating as per required standards (e.g., blasting, cleaning)
- Apply coatings such as zinc, aluminum, or alloys to specified thickness and quality
- Set up and operate equipment including spray guns, wire feeders, compressors, and power sources
- Measure coating thickness and assist in inspection (DFT, adhesion checks, visual inspection)
- Identify and rectify coating defects such as uneven thickness, porosity, or poor adhesion
- Maintain equipment and ensure proper housekeeping of work area
- Adhere strictly to safety procedures and use of PPE
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in thermal spray coating / metalizing
- Knowledge of arc spray and/or flame spray processes
- Familiarity with coating materials like zinc, aluminum, and their applications
- Basic understanding of surface preparation and standards
- Ability to use inspection tools such as DFT gauges
- Good attention to detail and quality control
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or training in spray painting and blasting is an advantage
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
