The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily housekeeping operations, ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance standards are consistently met. This role involves supervising staff, inspecting rooms and public areas, and ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff
- Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure cleanliness standards are maintained
- Assign duties and responsibilities to housekeeping team members
- Ensure timely cleaning and readiness of rooms for guest check-in
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities
- Train new employees and provide ongoing guidance to team members
- Address guest requests, complaints, and special requirements promptly
- Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
- Coordinate with maintenance and front office departments for smooth operations
- Prepare daily reports on room status, staff attendance, and operational issues
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in housekeeping operations, preferably in hospitality
- Prior supervisory experience is preferred
- Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle a team and manage time effectively
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Education:
- Diploma / Degree in Hotel Management or relevant field preferred
