Accounts & Finance Department – Educational Institutions
The Accounts Executive is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounting transactions, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the educational institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day accounting transactions in the ERP/Tally system.
- Record and reconcile student fee collections and maintain student fee ledgers.
- Process vendor invoices after verifying supporting documents and approvals.
- Prepare payment vouchers and ensure compliance with the institutional Payment Validation SOP before processing payments.
- Maintain cash book, petty cash, and bank transactions, including daily bank reconciliations.
- Record journal entries, ledger postings, and account adjustments accurately.
- Maintain Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) records and reconcile vendor and customer accounts.
- Assist in payroll accounting by recording salary, statutory deductions, and employee-related financial transactions.
- Maintain Fixed Asset Register and calculate depreciation as per applicable accounting policies.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements relating to GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and other applicable laws.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports, financial statements, and management reports.
- Support internal, statutory, tax, and regulatory audits by providing accurate records and schedules.
- Maintain proper filing and safeguarding of financial documents, vouchers, invoices, and accounting records.
- Coordinate with HR, Purchase, Stores, Admissions, Hostel, Transport, and other departments for smooth financial operations.
- Monitor budget utilization and report variances to management.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, financial policies, and institutional Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and uphold high standards of integrity and professional ethics.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
