Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Executive to join our operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating shipments and deliveries, managing transportation activities, liaising with vendors and logistics partners, tracking consignments, and maintaining accurate logistics documentation. This role requires strong coordination and communication skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple logistics operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate day-to-day logistics and transportation operations.
- Plan, schedule, and monitor shipments, dispatches, and deliveries.
- Coordinate with transporters, vendors, suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery.
- Track shipments and provide regular updates on delivery status.
- Resolve transportation delays, delivery issues, and logistics-related challenges.
- Prepare and maintain logistics documentation, including invoices, delivery challans, e-way bills, and transport records.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams for smooth inbound and outbound operations.
- Monitor inventory movement and assist with stock reconciliation.
- Verify transportation bills and coordinate with the accounts team for payment processing.
- Maintain strong relationships with transporters and logistics service providers.
- Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Prepare reports related to shipments, deliveries, transportation, and logistics performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable logistics regulations.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of professional experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or warehouse operations.
- Strong understanding of logistics and transportation processes.
- Hands-on experience in shipment tracking, delivery coordination, and dispatch management.
- Good knowledge of logistics documentation and processes.
- Experience working with ERP, SAP, Tally, or logistics management software will be an added advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in managing third-party logistics providers and transporters.
- Knowledge of inventory and warehouse management processes.
- Familiarity delivery challans and transportation documentation.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles.
- Experience with ERP or logistics management systems.
- Experience in handling high-volume logistics operations will be an added advantage
