Role Description:
The Sanctions Screening & Tuning Analyst will support transaction screening optimization through data analysis, filter tuning, and false-positive reduction. The role involves creating and maintaining FircoSoft screening rules and exceptions while ensuring compliance with the Banks risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
The Analyst will work with AMLPD, Branch AML Officers (AMLOs), and cross-functional teams to assess filter changes, implement tuning activities, resolve issues, and deliver effective screening solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with AMLPD and AMLOs to ensure rules and exceptions meet the Banks risk appetite.
- Analyze screening data to identify false-positive trends and tuning opportunities.
- Prepare rule/exception recommendations based on daily data analysis.
- Create transaction filter rules and exceptions using FFF Classic and FML.
- Coordinate with branches and AML teams to validate proposed filter changes.
- Prepare reports for senior Branch management.
- Stay updated on analytical techniques and data sources supporting AML/sanctions risk mitigation.
- Escalate issues and challenges to the Project Manager in a timely manner.
Key Skills:
- Knowledge of BSA/AML, AML/CTF, sanctions screening, SWIFT, and Three Lines of Defense.
- Strong data analysis, reasoning, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work effectively with branches and cross-functional stakeholders.
