Senior PostgreSQL Database Engineer
Location-Mohali( US Shifts)- Onsite
We are looking for an experienced PostgreSQL Database Engineer to design, optimize, and manage scalable PostgreSQL environments for enterprise-grade platforms and data systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases in production environments
- Handle query optimization, indexing, replication, backup/recovery, and performance tuning
- Work with PostgreSQL tools such as pgAdmin, pgBouncer, and monitoring solutions
- Design scalable schemas and support high-volume data ingestion pipelines
- Implement and optimize AI embedding and vector search integrations using technologies like pgvector
- Support semantic search and RAG-based data retrieval architectures
- Integrate databases with APIs, cloud services, and observability platforms
- Support cloud-native and high-availability database deployments
Required Skills
- 5+ years of PostgreSQL administration/engineering experience
- Strong SQL optimization and database performance tuning skills
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL ecosystem tools
- Experience with AWS database services (RDS/Aurora preferred)
- Experience with AI embeddings, vector search, or pgvector integrations
- Scripting/automation experience using Python or Shell
- Familiarity with event-driven or telemetry-based platforms
Preferred Skills
- Experience with semantic search or AI-powered applications
- Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code and Terraform
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms
- Understanding of backup, DR, and HA architectures
Pay: ₹757,488.82 - ₹1,750,318.71 per year
