We are looking for a highly experienced and strategic Financial Controller to oversee the company's financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide financial leadership that supports sustainable business growth.
Job Summary
The Financial Controller will be responsible for managing the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, compliance, internal controls, and financial planning. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, extensive experience in the construction industry, and the ability to lead finance teams while supporting strategic business decisions.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Accounting
- Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing process.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of the general ledger and accounting records.
- Monitor Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and cash flow management.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, including Ind AS/IFRS and relevant financial regulations.
Compliance & Taxation
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act, and other statutory regulations.
- Coordinate statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits.
- Liaise with auditors, banks, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities.
- Manage tax planning and timely statutory filings.
Internal Controls & Risk Management
- Develop, implement, and monitor robust financial policies and internal control systems.
- Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and corporate governance standards.
- Strengthen fraud prevention and financial control mechanisms.
Cash Flow Management
- Monitor daily cash flow, liquidity, and working capital requirements.
- Manage banking relationships, loan documentation, and fund utilization.
- Optimize cash management strategies and financial investments.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with cross-functional departments to support business objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) ; CPA or MBA (Finance) will be an added advantage.OR
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce.
- 3-4 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting.
Required SkillsTechnical Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
- Expertise in GST, TDS, Income Tax, and corporate taxation.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Tally Prime, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
- Knowledge of project accounting .
