About the Role
SPD Constructions Limited is looking for an experienced Manager – QA/QC (Civil) to lead quality assurance and quality control activities across high-rise building and industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate should have extensive expertise in Quality Management Systems (QMS), site quality inspections, audits, documentation, and team leadership while ensuring compliance with project specifications and ISO standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage QA/QC activities for construction projects in accordance with approved Method Statements, project specifications, and ISO standards.
- Develop, implement, and monitor the Project Quality Management System (QMS).
- Prepare, review, and maintain quality documentation, including Quality Control Plans (QCP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), inspection reports, and quality records.
- Conduct internal quality audits and ensure timely closure of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective Action Requests (CARs).
- Perform Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor site quality performance and prepare QA/QC reports, dashboards, and compliance metrics for project management.
- Ensure effective document control for construction drawings, specifications, inspection reports, vendor documents, and as-built drawings.
- Supervise, mentor, and train the QA/QC team to maintain high-quality standards.
- Coordinate inspections with clients, consultants, third-party laboratories, and subcontractors.
- Evaluate subcontractors' quality systems and ensure compliance with contractual and project quality requirements.
- Support project teams in achieving quality objectives while ensuring timely project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 20–25 years of experience in High-Rise Building and/or Industrial Construction Projects.
- Strong understanding of ISO standards, Quality Management Systems (QMS), quality documentation, and construction quality procedures.
