Key Responsibilities
- Supplier Audits & Qualification: Conduct process and quality management system (QMS) audits at supplier facilities. Evaluate their manufacturing capabilities to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Defect Management & Resolution: Lead root cause analysis (RCA) using standard methodologies like 8D, Ishikawa, and 5-Why. Track defect rates and enforce Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- New Product Introduction (NPI): Oversee parts approvals, such as the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), to ensure a safe, defect-free launch of new products.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor supplier metrics (e.g., PPM, delivery performance, defect rates) and establish regular reporting to upper management.
- Process Improvements: Provide technical guidance and training to suppliers on process improvements, measurement systems (MSA), and quality tools.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience: Typically, 5 to 8+ years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing, or quality assurance roles.
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of quality tools and concepts, including FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), Control Plans, SPC (Statistical Process Control), and GD&T.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, excellent negotiation skills, and cross-functional project management abilities.
- Certifications: Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or certifications in ISO quality standards are highly advantageous.
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹630,000.00 per year
