1. Position Overview
We are looking for a technically competent and experienced Civil Site Engineer with min 2 years of experience in Interior Fitout to oversee day-to-day civil construction activities at the project site. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, project schedules, and safety requirements.
The role requires strong site coordination, technical understanding, documentation skills, and the ability to effectively coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, architects, and the project management team.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Site Execution
· Supervise and monitor day-to-day civil construction activities.
· Ensure execution is strictly as per approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
· Check line, level, alignment, dimensions, and workmanship at site.
· Monitor contractor manpower, materials, tools, and equipment deployed at site.
· Ensure planned activities are completed as per the approved project schedule.
B. Drawing & Technical Coordination
· Review and understand architectural, structural, and service/shop drawings before execution.
· Identify discrepancies, clashes, and missing information in drawings.
· Raise RFIs and coordinate with Project Coordinator/Architect/Construction Manager for technical clarifications.
· Ensure only the latest approved drawings are used at site.
· Coordinate with MEP and other disciplines to avoid interface issues.
C. Quality Control
· Ensure construction activities comply with approved specifications and quality standards.
· Conduct regular inspections of ongoing works.
· Verify materials delivered to site against approved specifications and material approvals.
· Coordinate required inspections and testing.
· Maintain quality inspection records, checklists, and relevant documentation.
· Identify defective/non-conforming work and ensure timely rectification.
D. Quantity & Measurement
· Check contractor measurements and quantities executed at site.
· Assist in preparation and verification of RA bills.
· Maintain records of actual quantities executed.
· Verify material consumption against approved quantities and requirements.
· Highlight quantity variations and potential cost implications to the Construction Manager and Project Coordinator.
E. Planning & Progress Monitoring
· Monitor daily and weekly progress against the approved programme.
· Prepare daily site reports and provide accurate progress updates.
· Identify delays, constraints, and critical site issues.
· Coordinate with contractors to develop recovery actions wherever required.
· Support preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports.
F. Site Documentation

G. Safety & Site Discipline
· Ensure contractors comply with project HSE requirements.
· Report unsafe working conditions and practices immediately.
· Coordinate with the safety team regarding site safety requirements.
· Ensure proper housekeeping and safe access at the work fronts.
· Stop/raise concerns regarding activities presenting serious safety or quality risks.
H. Contractor & Stakeholder Coordination
· Coordinate daily activities with contractors and subcontractors.
· Attend site coordination and progress meetings.
· Follow up on pending materials, drawings, approvals, manpower, and resources.
· Maintain professional communication with consultants, architects, vendors, and project stakeholders.
· Escalate critical technical, quality, safety, and schedule issues to the Construction Manager & Project Coordinator.

· Work is executed as per approved drawings and specifications.
· Construction activities meet required quality standards.
· Planned site progress is achieved.
· Site measurements and records are accurate.
· Technical issues are identified and resolved promptly.
· Contractor activities are properly monitored.
· Site documentation remains updated and traceable.
· Safety and housekeeping requirements are maintained.
4. Qualification & Experience
· Education: B.Tech / B.E. / Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
· Experience: 3-4 years of relevant experience in civil construction/site execution. Experience in residential, hospitality, commercial, or high-end construction projects will be preferred.
5. Technical Skills
· Good knowledge of civil construction methods and practices.
· Ability to read and interpret architectural, MEP and structural drawings.
· Knowledge of Interior fit out finishing works.
· Understanding of construction quality control and inspection procedures.
· Basic knowledge of quantity surveying and contractor measurements.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
· Familiarity with IS Codes, specifications, and standard construction practices.
