Job Summary
Sigachi Industries is seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter to join the Engineering & Maintenance team at its Dahej manufacturing facility. The candidate will be responsible for installation, maintenance, repair, and alignment of mechanical equipment to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Install, dismantle, repair, and assemble pumps, valves, agitators, gearboxes, compressors, and other rotating equipment.
- Perform equipment alignment, fitting, and mechanical adjustments.
- Inspect machinery and identify potential mechanical issues before failure.
- Replace worn-out parts, seals, bearings, gaskets, and mechanical components as required.
- Assist in plant shutdown, turnaround, and maintenance activities.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance instructions.
- Ensure proper lubrication and upkeep of plant equipment.
- Maintain maintenance records, job completion reports, and logbooks.
- Follow safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, and housekeeping standards.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical maintenance practices.
- Experience in handling pumps, gearboxes, valves, compressors, and rotating equipment.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments and maintenance tools.
- Knowledge of equipment alignment, bearing replacement, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to work independently and in shift operations.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
