Job Summary
The Mathematics & Basic ICT Teacher is responsible for creating a positive, engaging, and child-friendly learning environment for primary students. The teacher will deliver Mathematics lessons and introduce students to basic Information and Communication Technology (ICT), helping them build strong numeracy skills and foundational computer knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate Mathematics and Basic ICT lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
- Teach fundamental mathematical concepts through interactive and activity-based learning.
- Introduce students to basic computer concepts, including:
- Parts of a computer and their functions
- Types of computers
- Basic computer operations (switching on/off, using a mouse and keyboard)
- Introduction to MS Paint, Word, and simple educational software
- Computer etiquette and basic internet safety awareness
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, classroom activities, and assessments.
- Monitor and evaluate students' academic progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Encourage logical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Integrate educational technology into classroom teaching where appropriate.
- Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, and professional development programs.
- Ensure the proper use and care of classroom and computer lab resources.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Education, Computer Applications, or a related field.
- B.Ed. is preferred or required as per school policy.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of primary Mathematics.
- Basic knowledge of computer fundamentals and ICT concepts suitable for primary students.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to create engaging, activity-based learning experiences.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young learners.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office and educational technology.
Experience
- 1–3 years of teaching experience in a primary school is preferred.
- Freshers with strong subject knowledge and teaching aptitude may also apply.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
