Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior PHP Developer with strong expertise in Laravel to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and backend services. The ideal candidate should possess excellent problem-solving skills, contribute to architectural decisions, mentor junior developers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Experience with cloud technologies, modern DevOps practices, and frontend frameworks will be an added advantage.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance Laravel applications
- Build robust, reusable, and maintainable backend services and RESTful APIs
- Analyse business requirements and propose scalable technical solutions and architecture
- Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and reliability
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented, and testable code following coding standards and best practices
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback to development teams
- Develop and maintain automated test cases to improve code quality and application stability
- Optimize database queries, application performance, caching strategies, and background job processing
- Collaborate closely with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, QA engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders
- Understand and enhance existing applications by identifying opportunities for modernization and improvement
- Estimate development efforts, assess technical feasibility, and participate in sprint planning
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to the team
- Contribute to architectural decisions, technical documentation, and development standards
- Support deployment activities, CI/CD implementation, production releases, and post-release maintenance
- Investigate and resolve production issues while ensuring minimal downtime
- Stay updated with the latest PHP, Laravel, cloud technologies, and software engineering best practices
- Experience with frontend frameworks (Vue.js/React.js), cloud platforms, or microservices architecture will be an added advantage
Key Skills & Technical Expertise
- Strong proficiency in PHP with extensive hands-on experience in Laravel Framework
- Solid understanding of Laravel MVC architecture, Eloquent ORM, Service Container, Service Providers, Middleware, Events, Queues, and Artisan CLI
- Strong experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party APIs
- Strong knowledge of MySQL/PostgreSQL, database design, indexing, query optimization, and migration strategies
- Good understanding of software design principles, SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean architecture
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools (Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) to improve development efficiency and code quality
- Strong experience in designing and optimizing distributed caching, queue-based asynchronous processing, background jobs, and performance tuning using Redis, Laravel Queues, Horizon, Supervisor, or similar technologies
- Experience with Git and collaborative version control workflows
- Strong understanding of application security best practices, including OWASP guidelines
- Experience in writing automated tests using PHPUnit, Pest, or similar testing frameworks
- Familiarity with Docker, Laravel Sail, or containerized development environments
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools
- Experience deploying applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, DigitalOcean, Azure, or similar
- Hands-on expertise in application monitoring, observability, logging, tracing, and performance analysis using Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, ELK Stack, or similar tools
- Working knowledge of frontend technologies such as Vue.js, React.js, Livewire, Tailwind CSS, or Vite will be an added advantage
- Exposure to microservices, event-driven architecture, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SNS/SQS will be an added advantage
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring abilities
Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
