A Safety Officer’s primary duties include:
- Monitoring and inspecting the workplace to identify potential hazards, unsafe practices, and compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations. 2
- Conducting risk assessments and implementing preventive measures to minimize accidents and injuries. 2
- Developing and enforcing safety policies and procedures, including emergency response plans for incidents such as fires, flooding, or electrocution. 2
