A Safety Officer’s primary duties include:
- Monitoring and inspecting the workplace to identify potential hazards, unsafe practices, and compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations. 2
- Conducting risk assessments and implementing preventive measures to minimize accidents and injuries. 2
- Developing and enforcing safety policies and procedures, including emergency response plans for incidents such as fires, flooding, or electrocution. 2
- Providing safety training and awareness programs for employees, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices. 2
- Investigating accidents and incidents, determining root causes, and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence. 2

Qualifications and Skills
