Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Rice Mill Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Rice Mill at the Peddapuram Plant. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in rice milling operations, manpower management, production planning, quality control, and maintenance coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily rice mill operations to ensure production targets are achieved.
- Monitor the complete rice milling process, including cleaning, de-husking, polishing, grading, sorting, and packing.
- Ensure optimum utilization of machinery, manpower, and raw materials.
- Maintain production quality as per company standards.
- Monitor paddy intake, milling recovery, broken percentage, and finished goods quality.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control team to maintain product specifications.
- Plan production schedules in coordination with the Production Manager.
- Maintain daily production reports, machine performance reports, and shift records.
- Ensure preventive maintenance is carried out in coordination with the maintenance department.
- Monitor machine downtime and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain housekeeping standards (5S) across the mill.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and statutory regulations.
- Supervise and motivate operators, helpers, and contract labour.
- Minimize wastage and improve productivity through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with Stores, Dispatch, Procurement, and Maintenance departments for smooth operations.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Food Technology, or any relevant discipline.
- Candidates with extensive rice mill operational experience may also be considered.
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in Rice Mill Operations.
- Experience in modern rice milling plants is preferred.
- Knowledge of paddy processing, milling machinery, grading, polishing, and packaging operations is essential.
