Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer to support Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE and related business applications during early UK business hours. The ideal candidate should have 2–4 years of experience in application support, deployment validation, incident triaging, and enterprise application troubleshooting.
This role focuses on ensuring platform stability, monitoring overnight system health, validating deployments, managing support tickets, and providing seamless handovers to the next support team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform deployment validation and post-release checks
- Monitor overnight alerts, failed jobs, integration errors, and platform exceptions
- Identify and resolve potential issues before business users are impacted
- Provide L1/L2 technical support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE applications
- Manage and triage incidents through ITSM tools such as SMAX, ServiceNow, or Jira
- Gather diagnostic information including logs, screenshots, and error details
- Escalate critical incidents using established support procedures
- Create detailed Azure DevOps tickets for complex issues
- Provide structured shift handovers with clear action items
- Contribute to support documentation, runbooks, and process improvements
- Participate in critical incident support and on-call rotations when required
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in Application Support or Enterprise Application Support
- Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE environments
- Experience in incident management, troubleshooting, and technical triage
- Ability to interpret logs, alerts, and application error messages
- Experience with ITSM tools such as SMAX, ServiceNow, or Jira Service Management
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar work management platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in UK-aligned support shifts
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform and Dataverse
- Knowledge of Power Automate troubleshooting
- Exposure to Azure DevOps release pipelines
- Experience executing deployment and release runbooks
- Microsoft certifications are an advantage
- Exposure to Dynamics 365 integrations and enterprise environments
