A store assistant supports daily retail operations by delivering exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and maintaining store cleanliness. Key duties include greeting customers, processing sales transactions, restocking shelves, and handling inquiries. They ensure a positive, welcoming shopping environment and help drive sales.
Core Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greeting shoppers, answering queries, offering product information, and resolving complaints politely.
- Stock Management: Unpacking deliveries, restocking shelves, monitoring inventory levels, and conducting stock rotation (first in, first out).
- Store Maintenance: Cleaning aisles, organizing merchandise, and ensuring displays are neat and visually appealing.
- Sales Processing: Operating cash registers, scanning items, handling cash/card transactions, and managing returns.
- Safety & Security: Assisting with theft prevention and maintaining a safe, hazard-free environment.
Key Skills & Requirements
