Job Description A Level 1 (L1) Network Security Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of an organization's network infrastructure. Specialized in Palo Alto and Panorama upgrades, site-to-site VPN configurations, and cluster implementation/configuration. 3. Skilled in perimeter security. 4. Configuring SSL VPN. 5. Ability to perform firewall upgrades. 6. Configure, troubleshoot, and upgrade firewalls for clients. 7. Maintain high availability and clustered environments for customers using high availability. 8. Perform security implementations and troubleshooting. 9. Configure necessary routing and NAT on the firewall appliance to communicate with the internet. 10. Configure IPSEC, SSL-VPN, and troubleshoot VPN tunnel connectivity issues. 11. Troubleshoot and monitor firewall traffic/issues through the command line using CLI command, GUI interface. 12. Configure NAT and PAT as well as Destination NAT policies. 13. Manually failover in SonicWALL Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.). • Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA Security, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are often preferred. • Hands-on experience with network security technologies and tools. • Strong understanding of networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
