Job Summary:
Stichwell Exports Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Leather Store Keeper to manage the inventory of different types of leather used in leather bags, wallets, and small leather goods (SLG).
The ideal candidate should have excellent knowledge of identifying various types, grades, finishes, colors, thicknesses, and qualities of leather, along with experience in maintaining stock records and ensuring proper storage of leather materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain stock of all types of leather used in production.
- Identify different leather types, grades, finishes, colors, and thicknesses accurately.
- Receive, inspect, measure, and record incoming leather.
- Issue leather to production as per approved requisitions.
- Maintain stock registers and ensure accurate inventory records.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
- Ensure proper storage to prevent damage, moisture, or wastage.
- Coordinate with the Purchase and Production Departments for stock availability.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the leather store.
Required Skills:
✔ Strong knowledge of leather identification and grading.
✔ Ability to distinguish different leather qualities and finishes.
✔ Basic knowledge of stock maintenance and inventory records.
✔ Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
✔ Honest, responsible, and detail-oriented.
Qualification & Experience:
- Minimum Higher Secondary (Graduate preferred).
- Mandatory 5–6 years of experience in a Leather Store or Leather Warehouse.
- Hands-on experience in identifying different types of leather is mandatory.
- Experience in a Leather Bags, Wallets, or Export House will be preferred.
