A Front Office Executive in a hospital is responsible for managing patient interactions at the reception area, ensuring smooth registration, appointment scheduling, billing coordination, and providing excellent customer service to patients and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients, visitors, and attendants professionally.
- Handle patient registration and maintain records accurately.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage doctor appointments.
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
- Guide patients regarding departments, procedures, and services.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and billing departments.
- Maintain OP/IP records and admission documentation.
- Handle billing support, payment collection, and receipts.
- Manage insurance and TPA-related documentation if required.
- Ensure reception and waiting area cleanliness and organization.
- Handle emergency situations calmly and direct patients appropriately.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
