Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and creative Interior Designer to plan, design, coordinate, and execute interior works for construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for developing interior design concepts, preparing drawings and specifications, coordinating with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, and site teams, and ensuring execution as per approved designs, quality standards, budget, and project schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop interior design concepts, layouts, and detailed drawings based on project requirements.
- Prepare 2D layouts, working drawings, furniture layouts, ceiling plans, flooring plans, wall elevations, and interior details.
- Prepare material specifications, finishes, colour schemes, furniture and fixture selections.
- Coordinate with architects, structural, MEP, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other project teams.
- Review drawings and ensure proper coordination before site execution.
- Conduct regular site visits and monitor interior works against approved drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors for timely execution.
- Check measurements and quantities at site and support estimation/BOQ preparation.
- Review shop drawings, material samples, mock-ups, and technical submissions.
- Ensure materials and workmanship comply with approved specifications and quality standards.
- Identify design clashes, site issues, and execution difficulties and provide practical solutions.
- Coordinate design changes and obtain necessary approvals before implementation.
- Monitor project progress and ensure interior works are completed within the planned schedule.
- Assist the project team in controlling material wastage and project costs.
- Prepare progress reports and maintain proper design and project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with project safety requirements and company procedures.
- Coordinate with clients/consultants for inspections, approvals, and handover requirements.
- Support snagging, rectification, final inspection, and project handover.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of interior construction, finishing works, materials, and site execution.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
- Knowledge of SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, Photoshop, or other interior/design software will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of civil and MEP coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of furniture, flooring, false ceiling, partitions, wall finishes, doors, joinery, and other interior works.
- Good vendor and contractor coordination skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in construction/interior execution projects is preferred.
Experience
3–6 years of relevant experience in interior design and construction/project execution.

Pay: From ₹40,000.00 per month
