Job Summary
The Manager – Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) will be responsible for promoting entrepreneurship and innovation among students and faculty. The role involves planning and executing entrepreneurship-related programs, managing startup incubation initiatives, building industry partnerships, and coordinating with government agencies, incubators, and funding organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and organize entrepreneurship awareness programs, workshops, seminars, boot camps, and startup events.
- Mentor and guide students in developing innovative business ideas and startup ventures.
- Coordinate startup incubation, pre-incubation, and innovation support activities.
- Build collaborations with industry, startups, incubators, accelerators, investors, and government agencies.
- Facilitate participation in hackathons, business plan competitions, innovation challenges, and startup expos.
- Assist students in obtaining funding through grants, government schemes, angel investors, and venture capital.
- Maintain records, reports, and documentation related to EDC activities for AICTE, UGC, NAAC, and other regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement entrepreneurship development strategies aligned with institutional objectives.
- Coordinate with faculty mentors and external experts for mentoring sessions.
- Promote intellectual property awareness, innovation, and technology commercialization.
- Manage EDC budget, annual calendar, and activity reports.
- Maintain EDC website, social media, and communication with stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Management (MBA/PGDM), Entrepreneurship, Innovation Management, or a related discipline.
- Additional certification in Entrepreneurship Development, Startup Management, Innovation, or Incubation will be preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in entrepreneurship development, startup incubation, innovation management, industry-academia collaboration, or project management.
- Experience working with higher educational institutions, incubation centers, or startup ecosystems is desirable.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and networking skills.
- Knowledge of startup ecosystems, incubation, and innovation frameworks.
- Familiarity with AICTE, UGC, MSME, Startup India, and other entrepreneurship initiatives.
- Strong project management and event coordination skills.
- Ability to build partnerships with industry and government organizations.

- Leadership, mentoring, and team management abilities.
Preferred Knowledge
- Startup India, Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), MSME schemes.
- Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and technology transfer.
- Incubation center operations and startup funding mechanisms.
- Entrepreneurship education and innovation ecosystem development.
Compensation: As per institutional norms / Best in the industry.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per year
