Role Overview
We are looking for a BOM Management & Manufacturing Process Planning Engineer to manage EBOM-to-MBOM transformation, BOM configuration and BOP authoring using Siemens Teamcenter for automotive ATP products.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile EBOM, MBOM and product structures in Teamcenter, ensuring part accountability, revision control, variant applicability and effectivity.
- Allocate parts, fasteners, subassemblies and bulk materials to plants, lines, stations and operations; create phantom and kitting structures.
- Manage 100%/150% BOMs, option filtering, rule logic and vehicle variant applicability.
- Process ECN/ECR/WERS changes and assess impact on MBOM, plant operations and launch implementation.
- Author BOPs, process routings, standard operation sequences and station-level work breakdown in Teamcenter.
- Allocate plant assets, fixtures, torque tools, robotic cells, weld tools and operator resources to operations.
- Generate and update SWI, SOS, OIS and visual assembly sequence guides linked to MBOM parts.
- Perform cycle-time allocation, line balancing, bottleneck analysis and work-element redistribution to meet JPH targets.
- Collaborate with DPA, DVA and digital manufacturing teams to validate BOP sequence feasibility and visual clearance.
Mandatory Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Siemens Teamcenter / TCe / TCM / Process Planner / EasyPlan.
- Core automotive experience in BOM Management, MBOM transformation and BOP authoring.
- Knowledge of FEDE/WERS, automotive product structures and vehicle variant management.
- Good knowledge of line balancing, takt time, cycle time and manufacturing process planning.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including VLOOKUP and macros.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, MOST/MODAPTS and PFMEA.
Preferred Skills
- Teamcenter Visualization / VisMockup.
- Process Simulate or SAP exposure.
- Experience with DPA, DVA or digital manufacturing integration.
- Experience supporting global automotive assembly plants.
Candidate Profile
Automotive BOM/Process Planning Engineer with 3–6+ years of relevant experience, strong Siemens Teamcenter capability and hands-on knowledge of MBOM, BOP, variant management and vehicle assembly processes.
