QC Technician / QC Chemist will tests raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure they meet strict safety, quality, and regulatory standards. They analyze chemical properties using specialized equipment, maintain detailed laboratory documentation, and collaborate with production teams to resolve any quality deviations.
Core Responsibilities
- Sample Testing: Conduct routine qualitative and quantitative analyses of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
- Equipment Management: Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments (e.g., pH meters, HPLC, GC, UV-Vis).
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of test results, logbooks, and batch releases in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in stability studies, method validations, and environmental monitoring.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
Key Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5 years experience as QC Chemist / QC Technician.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency with chemical testing techniques and laboratory instrumentation.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to data entry, report generation, and identifying testing discrepancies.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance (e.g., FDA, ISO) relevant to pharmaceuticals.
