Role Summary:
A Senior Video Editor is responsible for planning, editing, and delivering high-quality video content for digital platforms, television, films, advertising campaigns, social media, YouTube channels, and corporate projects. They often lead the post-production team and ensure that videos meet creative and technical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit raw footage into polished, engaging videos.
- Create story-driven content with proper pacing and visual flow.
- Add transitions, motion graphics, animations, titles, and visual effects.
- Perform color correction and color grading.
- Edit and mix audio, including background music, sound effects, and voice-overs.
- Collaborate with directors, producers, content creators, and marketing teams.
- Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
- Review and approve final video outputs before publication.
- Guide and mentor junior video editors.
- Stay updated with video editing trends, software, and platform requirements.
Required Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and Final Cut Pro.
- Strong storytelling and visual communication skills.
- Expertise in motion graphics and visual effects.
- Audio editing and sound design knowledge.
- Understanding of social media formats (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Shorts, Reels).
- Time management and project coordination skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Film, Media, Mass Communication, Multimedia, or related field (preferred).
- Typically 4–8+ years of professional video editing experience.
- Strong portfolio showcasing editing, color grading, and motion graphics work.
