Job Summary
The Sales and Application Engineer serves as the technical expert and liaison between the sales team, customers, and the engineering/product development teams. They are responsible for understanding customer needs, proposing suitable solutions, demonstrating the product functionality, and supporting the sales process with technical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the sales team to provide technical assistance during the sales process.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to prospective customers.
- Assist in preparing proposals, quotations, and bids with detailed technical specifications.
- Support contract negotiations by clarifying technical aspects.
- Visit customer sites to assess needs and provide on-site support or demonstrations.
- Build strong relationships with customers to understand their challenges and propose tailored solutions.
- Gather customer feedback to inform product improvements or new development.
- Understand customer applications and suggest appropriate products or solutions.
- Provide post-sale technical support and training to customers
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of company products, services, and industry trends.
- Monitor competitor activity and market developments to inform sales strategy.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven Sales skills in industrial equipment, capital machinery, or related engineering products, with experience managing the complete sales cycle.
- Strong abilities in client relationship management, negotiation, and closing deals while maintaining a customer-centric approach.
- Technical aptitude to understand Bandsaw Machines, automation solutions, and related specifications, with a willingness to learn product details.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain technical solutions in clear, business-focused language.
- Experience using CRM/ERP or sales tracking tools and proficiency in basic office software (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations, email).
- Ability to work independently in the field, prioritize tasks, and meet or exceed defined sales targets.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred; relevant sales experience in machinery & cutting tools can substitute for formal education.
- Previous experience in cutting tools, industrial machinery, or manufacturing sales is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel locally and regionally for client meetings, site visits, and industry events as needed.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
